ADHD medicines, like Concerta, have known side effects of Neutropenia.   The medicines are commonly thought to be harmless, when in fact they are “uppers” and have the side effects of neutropenia in some patients, such as Ariana-Leilani.  Yet, they are now being abused by schools and parents to boost the performance of children, including those, like Ariana-Leilani, who do not actually have ADHD.
